Actions are by intentions: do not thwart your deeds with bad intentions
Reflections |
But what is the intention?
An intention is an act of the heart that a person intends to do when he performs any action. Either this intention is for the sake of good and the public benefit for the sake of God, or it is for a personal benefit.
We mention here a famous story about actions by intentions and their impact on man
It is said that in one of the ancient peoples, they worshiped one of the trees instead of God when they preferred it in form, shade, and beauty.
But one of the people who was still worshiping God according to the religion of Moses, peace be upon him, did not like what the people were doing. So the intention was to cut down that tree that people worship besides God. (Actions are only by intentions)
The devil countered the man
The devil tried to stop him by force. The man could only push the devil in the image of a human being and then he went on his way.
Here, the devil learned that this man possesses tremendous power because of his faith and good intentions, so he deceived him with cunning and cunning.
Changing the intention and its effect on the weakness of strength (Actions are by intentions)
And he said, "Wait for us to discuss the mind." The guy said here's what you have. And the devil said, "Why do you want to cut that tree?"
The man said: Because people worship it instead of God.
The devil said, What is the harm to you? What do you think if will benefit you?
The man was astonished and said: How?
the devil said: Leave the tree for people to worship as they like, and I will put two dirhams every day under your pillow you will find every morning.
The man thought a little and said to himself, "Let it be, I will benefit and people worship whatever they want."
He agreed to this offer and went back to his house, and in the morning he found the two dirhams under his pillow, as the devil agreed with him, and he was very happy.
Days rolled and the man collects money every day. Until he woke up one day and did not find the dirhams under the pillow. He got angry and took his ax and went out of his house to cut down the tree.
He found the devil waiting for him and confronting him in the same place. And he says to him where?
He said to cut the tree. And here the devil pushed him with a thrust and fell on the ground, the man tried to push the devil as he did before, but he could not, so the man was surprised by the weakness that struck him.
the devil said to him, do not be surprised. The previous time, your intention was to cut down the tree so that people would return to worshiping the Lord of the world.
I was strong and could not stand you. As for now, you have cut down the tree for the dirhams that I withheld from you, and you have become weak and weak.
The conclusion from this story
If your intention in your work is for the benefit of people and for the sake of God, you will be successful in what you want. But if your intention is for a personal benefit or to harm people, you will be weakened, weak, and unsuccessful.
Finally: make your intention better in all your actions. If you are a doctor, make your intention to treat the sick and relieve them.
Not for fame or money. And if you are a teacher, make your intention to teach students in order for educated generations to graduate from your hands that benefit society, and do not make your intention that you work for the salary you get.
Or in order to get private lessons from students. And so in all your works.
Pursue your intentions, and your deeds will be saved
