Scientists have defined the scientific miracle of the Qur’an as It is telling the Holy Qur’an or the Sunnah of a fact that was finally proven by empirical science, and it was confirmed that it was not possible to realize it by human means at the time of the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.
Scientific Interpretation of the Qur'an
As for the scientific interpretation of the Qur’an, it is to reveal the meanings of the verse or hadith in light of the theories of the cosmic sciences whose validity has become more likely.
Thus, the scientific explanation is more general than the scientific miracle, and every scientific miracle is from the scientific explanation and not the other way around.
And the scientific miracles in the Qur’an have supporters and opponents, and each of them has his own evidence and chain of transmission on which to base his opinion.
First: Supporters of the scientific miracles in the Qur’an
God said, “We will show them Our signs on the horizons and in themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.
The proponents rely on what was mentioned in the noble verse in their inference that the scientific miracles in the Qur’an exist and must be deduced from the scientific facts that have been verified. Which preceded the Holy Qur'an in its detection hundreds of years ago.
And that this is a confirmation of the faith of the believers, and it has a significant impact on non-Muslims in this era. Indeed, many scholars have believed in and embraced Islam. After studying specific scientific facts, they found that it was mentioned in the Qur’an before.
Second: Those who oppose the scientific miracle of the Qur’an
Opponents believe that the scientific miracle in the Qur’an is based on conjecture and probability. He is not certain, and that some of those who work in it are not the specialists and the legal sciences. And that the verses are done to me in order to coincide with some scientific facts.
And these theories and scientific facts change and change from time to time.
There are others who have a biased opinion of the scientific miracles of the Qur’an
They are not those who oppose that for fear of Islam. But they oppose the vexation and distortion of the Islamic religion. Some of them cite the sayings of some scholars of the Qur’anic miracles and then refute them and say that these scientific facts have changed.
Reply to skeptics and haters
We respond to every suspicious objection in the Noble Qur’an and tell them that the verses of the Noble Qur’an are firm and preserved with the protection of God Almighty. But the interpretation of these verses is the one that changes and develops according to the developments of the times. This is the strength of the argument of the Qur'an and not a weakness in it.
Let us take an example of this in the words of God Almighty in his Noble Book, “Let you ride one layer upon another” Surat Al-Ishaq. It was interpreted by many ancient commentators as. Right after the case of death, life and resurrection.
And we say, why isn’t what is meant here by the literal meaning of the word “dish”, and we mean here that God swears that we will ride flying dishes and move with them from one place to another.
Here, the skeptics say about the scientific miracles of the Qur’an, how do you explain the verse according to your whims? And we tell them the verse has not changed and has not changed, and the true meaning and purpose of it are in the knowledge of God, but the interpretations are the ones that change with the change of the worldly and scientific reality of each era.
And the interpretations in the past may be correct 100%. This does not contradict the modern interpretation that I mentioned in the previous lines, which science and modern technological progress may prove. Each interpretation of them matches its era and harmonizes.
Examples of scientific miracles in the Qur’an and Sunnah
1- The piercing star
The Almighty said, “By the sky and the Tariq*, and what makes you know what the Tariq is, the piercing star.” [1-3 Al-Tariq]
The ancient commentators interpreted it several interpretations, and whoever wants to see it goes to the interpretation of al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, and others. But modern science has proven that there are giant Newtonian stars that emit radio-electromagnetic waves when converted into sound with complex scientific devices. Her voice was like a knock on the door or the sound of a hammer.
At first, they were called pulsars, but after carefully studying the sound they produced, they were called giant hammer stars.
The piercing star was described in the Holy Qur’an in the previous verse. Modern science has revealed that this star emits giant gravitational waves that pierce anything it encounters.
Glory be to those who informed us of this more than 1400 years ago.
2- Iron and the Qur’anic miracles
It is recently known that the universe consists mostly of the lightest elements hydrogen and helium, with a percentage of 98%. And that the rest of the heavy elements are formed by nuclear fusion of hydrogen nuclei. This requires huge heat energy.
Iron in order to form requires enormous heat energy, which is not available inside the sun because the sun is a medium-sized star. But it is available in other giant stars (supernova). Iron is formed in the heart of these stars, even if it reaches a certain stage, the star explodes and its pieces are scattered in space, along with the iron.
It enters the gravitational field of other celestial bodies, and thus the iron has descended to the earth and has not existed in it since the beginning of its creation. Let us look here at the accuracy of the Qur’anic pronunciation, “And We sent down iron.”
Also, if we look at the number of Surat Al-Hadid in the Qur’an, we will find that it is the number 57, and it is roughly the same as the mass number of the iron counterpart that has the highest percentage of presence (Al-Hadid-57). And if we look at the number of verse 26 with the basmalah, which is equal to the atomic number of iron, which is equal to 26, this is another story that has a complex scientific significance.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many verses that contain scientific miracles in the Qur’an, which confirm that the Creator of the universe is the one who revealed the Qur’an to our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers. and thank Allah the god of everything .
